Contains: estradiol patch
Introduced in 1999, Esclim is an estradiol patch — but one with a key difference: It’s stretchable, which makes it less prone to come off or come unstuck. It also comes in the widest range of dosages available — from 0.0025 up to 0.1, which makes it easier to find the best dosage for your specific needs.
- Standard dosage: 0.025, 0.0375, 0.050, 0.075, and 0.1 mg
- Pros: Stretchable, so a good choice for active women; wide range of doses gives flexibility; as with other patches, easy to use source of continuous estrogen and, for smokers, may be a better source of estrogen than oral forms
- Cons: as with other patches, may cause skin irritation
